Best Coffee Shops in Nosara: Our Go-To Spots

Whether you’re starting your morning, taking a break from the beach, or looking for a place to sit and work for a bit, Nosara has some great coffee spots—each with a different vibe.

These are a few places we keep going back to, depending on what we’re in the mood for.

Beach Blend

Our go-to spot. Tucked behind the gas station in a small shopping center, it’s easy to miss—but worth finding. The new owners have completely redone the space, and it’s now a really comfortable place to hang out or get some work done.

The coffee is solid, prices are some of the most affordable around, and they also sell bags of Costa Rican coffee. They’ve got a full menu of drinks (coffee, teas, smoothies), plus locally made sweet and savory snacks.

Olo Alaia

Located inside a surf shop in the center of Guiones, this is a great spot when you want a really good, strong coffee.

The baristas know what they’re doing, and the quality is consistently high.

Esh

A really special spot with a mix of bakery, café, and restaurant. It’s on the main road between Rinde Más and the gas station.

The front has an incredible bakery (the cheese sticks are addicting), and you can grab coffee and sit outside—or head into the larger indoor space in the back (with AC), where they also serve Mediterranean food and cocktails.

It’s cozy, a little more elevated, and a great place to slow down.

Rolling Waves

Located on the northern end of Guiones, this is a great option if you’re really into coffee.

They offer a wide variety of pour-over preparations, coffee cocktails, and consistently good espresso drinks. It’s a bit more of a “coffee-focused” experience compared to some of the others.

☕ Honorable Mentions (Great Coffee, Not Just Coffee Shops)

Sunrise Coffee
More of a brunch spot, but definitely worth mentioning. They have a wide variety of coffee drinks, plus fun matcha latte variations and a great food menu.

Donita’s Breakfast Club
Known for their made-to-order yuca donuts, but they also have some really interesting coffee drinks—like a honey salt latte, orange espresso, and wild berry matcha.

Final Thoughts

Nosara has a lot of great spots for coffee, and the “best” one really depends on what you’re looking for—whether that’s a place to work, something quick and strong, or somewhere to sit and enjoy the morning.

These are just a few that we keep coming back to.
