☀️ Sunrise Coffee (Playa Pelada)
A go-to for a relaxed breakfast with great coffee, Sunrise is one of those places that consistently delivers. It’s open daily for breakfast and lunch and has a comfortable, laid-back vibe.
What to get: Breakfast burrito (a favorite for a reason)
🥑 Rosi’s Soda Tica (Multiple locations)
If you want a classic Costa Rican breakfast, this is it. Rosi’s is all about gallo pinto, and you can customize it with whatever you’re in the mood for—eggs, cheese, avocado, bacon.
It’s simple, filling, and exactly what you want if you’re looking for something local and affordable.

🌿 La Ventanita (Guiones)
A bit more under-the-radar, La Ventanita is one of those places people tend to discover and then keep coming back to.
They serve breakfast and lunch daily with a menu that leans fresh and healthy—smoothies, bowls, sandwiches, and good coffee.
What to get: Pinto bowl
🍩 Donita’s breakfast club (North Guiones)
Donita’s is one of the more unique breakfast stops in Nosara. Their yuca donuts are made fresh to order and they also have great coffee and matcha drinks, making it a fun spot for something a little different.
🌮 Elio’s Tiki Room (North Guiones)
One of the newer spots in town, Elio’s brings a slightly different twist to breakfast.
Their burrito stands out because it uses potatoes instead of gallo pinto, which is surprisingly hard to find in Nosara and a nice change of pace.
🌊 La Luna (Playa Pelada)
Most people think of La Luna as a sunset dinner spot—and it absolutely is—but their breakfast is a hidden opportunity to enjoy the space in a more relaxed way.
It’s right on the beach, the atmosphere is calm, and the menu is solid.
What to get: Avocado toast or banana Nutella pancakes
🍳 Il Pepperoni (Breakfast “hub” setup)
This one is a little different—and honestly one of the best setups if you’re with a group or family.
On the same property, you’ll find:
A super affordable pinto truck (build your own plate)
A bakery with fresh pastries
A coffee and smoothie bar with bowls and drinks
It’s perfect when everyone wants something different.
